Victim mindset to Creative mindset
Fixed mindset to Growth mindset
Scarcity mindset to Abundant mindset
I understand that most of you believe you have a creative, growth, and abundant mindset. So did I until I realized just how little of victim, fixed, and scarcity in my thinking effectively neutralize my creative, growth, and abundant thinking.
While delivering a workshop on “Disruptive Thinking” to senior leaders, several members of the team defended the fixed mindset as being the reason for their success. I didn’t even say a word before the majority of the team then expressed perhaps that is why they are still doing business the same way as they did in the early 80s.
Creative, growth, and abundant mindsets are not natural; they must be intentionally turned on and constantly checked, because our default mindsets of victim, fixed, and scarcity greatly affect how we filter information. Hint: The development, training, and coaching for you and your teams can pay huge dividends to your organizations. More on mindsets later. Stay tuned.
